ADJUSTING CLIMBER ANGLE FOR GRADUAL TREE NARROWING
To properly set up your Game Winner climber
treestand, you must take into consideration the
gradual narrowing of the tree. To compensate
for this gradual narrowing, you must tilt both of
the standing and seating platforms slightly in
an upward direction to compensate for this
narrowing as shown in Figure 12. If care is not
taken to set up the treestand in this manner at
ground level, once you reach your desired
climbing height, your stand will be at an
awkward and unusable angle.
Initial angle of seating and standing platforms of climbing treestand at ground
level must allow for the decrease in tree diameter while ascending by tilting
slightly upward.
Never climb or hunt with either seating and standing platform angled downward.
If this occurs, return to ground and tighten cable to increase upward angle.
WARNING!
Never adjust seating and standing platform angle while in climbing treestand.
All leveling adjustments of seating and standing platforms must be made at
ground level.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or death.
To safely use this product, seating and standing platforms must be level at hunting height.
Since trees narrow as you climb the tree, the front of climber sections must be slightly tipped
upward at ground level. Too small of an upward angle at ground level can result in an unsafe
downward angle at hunting height. If this occurs, you must return to ground and tighten tree
cable.
Obtaining the right ground angle depends on how much tree diameter changes between ground
level to hunting height. With experience, you will learn how much ground angle is needed to
achieve level climber sections at desired hunting height.
