2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR
THE ECLECSYS STOVE
Before working on your stove, get to know the
maintenance requirements for the worktop that
you have bought. Each stove comes equipped
with a set of stove equipment, consisting of a
hook to remove the hearth and a scraper for
cleaning the ashtray and the flue through the
soot door, located under the oven.
Before lighting the stove, check that the flue is
completely clean, in order to obtain a good
draught.
CLOSED
PRIMARY AIR CONTROL
When lighting the stove, close the door for
firewood, open the primary air control valve by
moving it to the left, and the direct draught valve,
which is on the door of oven, pulling it outwards.
Once you have obtained a normal state of
combustion, close the direct draught valve by
moving the knob to its normal position.
OPEN
DIRECT DRAUGHT CONTROL
OPEN
CLOSED
Regulate the draught of your stove by means of
the primary air control valve, bearing in mind
that, if the draught is too open, as well as leading
to a greater consumption of coal or firewood, it
makes the worktop plate reach an excessive
temperature.
Never completely fill the stove with fuel or leave
the door of the ashtray open.
Do not store the firewood or coal close to the
loading door.
Lighting the stove for the first time.
We recommend lighting the stove for the first
time with a low heat for 3 or 4 hours to stabilise
the various parts.
The draught advised for the chimney is 1.5
mmca for a controlled operation of your stove.
If upon installing it, your stove does not reach
the appropriate operating temperature:
Always control the oven temperature of your
stove, by means of the thermometer located in
the door. If the temperature reaches 250ºC
(yellow zone on the thermometer) do not put
any more fuel in, close the air inlet valve for the
ashtray and, if necessary, open the firewood
loading door to slow the combustion down.
Excessive heating of the stove, detected by an
oven temperature of over 300ºC (red area of the
thermometer), can lead to deterioration of the
worktop.
During the annual cleaning, or when
necessary,
check that the under-worktop
located under the vitroceramic glass is in good
condition. If necessary, change it. This plate is
simply inserted in the frame, and its replacement
is a very simple operation.
Food will be prepared more quickly if the pots,
frying pans and other utensils used are flat-
bottomed.
