Inserting tabs in a Duplex job
When inserting tabs in a job which has been set to Duplex, insert the tabs from the Page View pane, otherwise you
will get a conflict message.
Convert to tab option
Convert to Tab option is not available in Fiery Compose. To print a page on tab media, select the page in the Page
View pane of the Fiery Compose window, and choose Assign Media from the right-click menu. You can insert tabs by
choosing the Insert Tab option from the Insert menu in the Page View pane. You can then select the inserted tab in
Page View, right-click, and select Edit Tab from the menu.
Convert to Tab option is available in Fiery JobMaster.
Number of inserted tabs
Fiery Compose supports up to a maximum of 99 tabs per job, but the value entered in the field is not restricted.
APPE Jobs in Fiery Impose
When you impose a job in Fiery Impose with Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE) selected in Job Properties, and then
save the job, you cannot make any further imposition changes to the imposed job. The default for saving APPE
imposed jobs is as a flattened PDF, which does not allow further changes. If you are not satisfied with your
imposition choices, start over with the original job.
Note: If you save a job in .dbp format, you can make further imposition changes, but the job is processed as a
PostScript job, not as an APPE job.
