Manual device name assignment

If your plant configuration makes it impossible to carry out an automatic
assignment of the device name, you can also do this manually. To be able to
access the drive directly, the ES and the G120X must be located in the same
physical network.
The following options are available:
•
Deploying a Service Bridge
•
Reconnecting the PROFINET interface for direct access by the ES to the drive
system
Note This application example only considers commissioning with "Reconnecting the
PROFINET interface". For more information on deploying a Service Bridge, refer
to the application example:
"Service Bridge – Setup and Configuration"

Procedure
1. Insert the network cable of the ES/single station into the fieldbus (for example
to Port 2 of the X5 interface).
2. In the SIMATIC Manager, click on "Options > Set PG/PC interface..." in the
menu.
3. Select the Ethernet network adapter that you connected with the fieldbus.
4. Select the drive system in the hardware configuration and then click in the
menu on "PLC > Ethernet > Assign Device Name".
