Prepare Appliance
You must access the burner and the module plate to
replace them. Please note that the existing receiver will
be re-used with the new burner.
1. Remove the barrier screen, side doors, plinth, win-
dow and fuel bed.
2. Locate gas shut off valve and isolate gas supply.
3. Remove the media platform (no screws). If other
parts are used to support the platform such as the
runners, remove them.
4. Remove the screw at the right end of the burner.
5. Slide the burner to the right to disengage it from the
orifi ce and lift it out of the fi rebox.
Replace Module Plate
The upgrade module plate is supplied without the
receiver so the existing one can be installed on the new
module plate and continue to be used with the current
handset.
1. Disconnect the wires linking the existing receiver to
the Remote Battery and Wall Switch Kit.

2. Remove the left and right defl ectors refi tting each
screw to plug the holes left opened in the fi rebox
bottom. The defl ectors are no longer necessary.
3. Remove the 10 screws retaining the module plate to
the fi rebox bottom. Keep the screws to reuse them.
4. Detach receiver from inside the front panel of the
fi replace. Starting from the back, carefully lift the
module plate including all the components attached
underneath including the valve and receiver.
5. Scrape all remaining gasket that would have stuck to
the fi rebox bottom.
6. Disconnect the existing receiver from the old mod-
ule plate and reconnect to the new module plate.
7. Place the new burner module plate in the fi rebox
inserting receiver, valve, pipes and wiring so they
are underneath the fi rebox bottom.
Caution
Be careful not to damage any of the components
beneath the module plate.
8. Reconnect the wires of the Remote Battery & Wall
Switch Kit to the receiver.
9. Refi t the receiver on the Velcro pads behind the ap-
pliance's front panel.
