DRAGGING BRAKES:
NOTE: These disc brakes have no spring return of the pads and thus will always drag slightly. Do
not be concerned unless this drag is noticeable while taxiing.

To remove nosewheel, raise it off the ground by holding the tail down. Remove one of the
5/16 inch elastic stop nuts on the axle at the outside fork cap and remove the through-stud. Re-
move the outside fork caps and withdraw the axle sleeve through one side of the fork. Remove
the wheel with the two outer sleeves. Changing the tire or servicing the bearings is the same as
with the main wheels.

Air will enter system if the reservoir runs dry. In-
spect at regular intervals and keep reservoir full
at all times.
If vent hole in reservoir plug becomes stopped,
there is a possibility that a partial vacuum will be
created in the system which will interrupt the
fluid flow in the system. Clear vent hole.
Bleed brakes.
Replace brake cylinder cups and "O" rings.
Replace wheel cylinder seals.
If dirt is found in the system, the master cylinder
and brake assemblies must be dismantled and
parts cleaned with alcohol and reinstalled. Flush
system and install new brake fluid.
Dust or dirt mixing with brake fluid at the brake
may become gummy and cause sticking of the
brake piston. Remove parts and clean and fill
system with new fluid.

Improper fluid may destroy the seal and pack-
ings. Use only the recommended hydraulic fluid.
