FUEL SYSTEM MANAGEMENT: (Cont'd) These transfer pumps transfer fuel at a rate of 0.4 gallons per minute or approximately 45 minutes for a full auxiliary tank. Since overfilling a main tank from an auxiliary tank will force excess fuel overboard, it is recommended that the transfer pumps not be acti- vated until their respective main tanks are slightly more than one quarter full.
