3. Start and Operation

NOTE!
Before operating your tiller for the first time, study this
section and the "1. Safety instructions".
Check engine oil level
a. With engine level, remove engine oil filler plug (fig. 5)
b. Engine oil should be to point of almost over flowing (fig.
5).
Engine oil capacity is about 1 1/4 pints (20 ounces).
NOTE!
Be very careful not to allow dirt to enter the Engine when
checking or adding oil or fuel. Use clean 30 or 10W-30 grade
oil and store in approved, clean covered containers. (Do not
use pressurized starting fluid, as severe internal engine
damage may occur due to loss of lubrication.)
Fill fuel tank: To fill fuel tank (fig. 6), use fresh, clean
regular unleaded automotive gasoline. Capacity is about 2.5
quarts.
