MAINTENANCE

Motor/Electrical
Frequently vacuum or blow out any sawdust from the motor and around the switches.
Lubrication
All the ball bearings are permanently lubricated. They require no further lubrication.
WARNINg! If the power cord is worn, cut or damaged in any way, replace it immediately.
WARNINg! To prevent electrocution, fire or injury, use only identical replacement parts listed in this manual. To avoid electrical hazards, always
reassemble exactly as the original assembly.
Replacing drive belt/tensioning drive belt
1) Disconnect machine from power source.
2) Open upper and lower doors and remove saw blade (A) Fig.28 as described in this
manual.
3) Remove tension on drive belt (B) by loosening the belt tension knob (C)
counterclockwise.
4) Using snap ring pliers, remove snap ring (D) that secures lower wheel (E) to the
drive shaft.
5) Slide lower wheel assembly off the drive shaft, this will allow you to access and
remove the drive belt (B). Discard the old belt.
6) Place new belt onto lower wheel pulley. Reinstall lower wheel (E). Reinstall
snap ring (D).
7) Place new belt partially around motor pulley to get it started, then turn lower wheel by hand until belt is completely seated on motor pulley. At
this point you must decide which speed is required and setup the belt as required as shown in Fig.19.
8) Turn the belt tension knob (C) clockwise to tension the drive belt. The belt is properly tensioned when moderate finger pressure on the belt
between the two pulleys causes a 1/2" deflection.
9) Re-install blade. Close upper and lower doors.
