Please note the included General Safety Notes and the following
safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:
Make sure the voltage corresponds to the type label on the unit.
Please note the warning triangle. It parks all those instructions which are
important for safety reasons. Always observe these instructions as failure
to do so could result in serious injury!
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed
to use the chain saw, unless they are supervised for their safety by a
qualified person or are briefed by the responsible person how to use the
machine.
Only use the chain saw as indicated in this manual for cutting wood or
objects made of wood.
The chain saw must be used only by one person at a time. Make sure
bystanders do not stay in the chain saw's area of swing.
Make sure the chain saw is not touching anything and moving free. Firmly
hold the chain saw in both hands when working.
Cutting with the chain saw when standing on a ladder, in a tree or in any
other instable places in not allowed. Do not cut with the chain saw above
shoulder height and do not saw with one hand.
Use only original accessories and original replacement parts.
When sawing converted timber and thin branches always use a strong
support, such as a sawing trestle. Do not stack timber pieces.
Before cutting logs, secured in position. When working on sloping ground,
make sure to work facing upwards.
For using the chain saw, we recommend the use of an RCD with a
residual current < 30 mA. In Switzerland the utilisation of an RCD is
obligatory.
