gle arming cycle. Once the system is disarmed and then
re-armed, all the zones will be active again.

arming while driving

Your security system can be armed while driving the vehicle!
Simply press
vehicle is running. The siren will chirp once to indicate that the
security system is armed, and then once more to indicate that the
ignition is on. The system will not respond to any input except
the door triggers, and the starter kill relay (if installed) will not be
activated. Once you have arrived at your destination, the system
will disarm when the ignition is turned off. The siren will chirp
twice and the LED will then stop flashing. The system can also
be disarmed at any time by pressing

disarming

To disarm the security system, press
chirps, and the parking lights will flash twice. If the power locks
are controlled by the system, the doors will also unlock. The siren
chirping either four or five times when disarming indicates

Car starts then immediately shuts off

The Automate AM7 may start and then immediately shut off if it is programmed for voltage sense and the voltage variation between the engine off and running is too small. This can cause the remote start unit to "think" the vehicle has not started and shut it down. Adjusting the voltage check setting to "LOW" may help in such cases.

To reprogram the remote for the Automate AM7 after the battery died, follow these steps:

1. Re-sync the remote: If the remote has been pressed many times out of range or the battery was removed, it may fall out of sync. To re-sync, press the remote button several times within range of the vehicle. The alarm will automatically re-sync and respond to the transmitters normally.

2. If reprogramming is needed:
- Open a door (ensure the GREEN wire H1/8 or VIOLET wire H1/6 is connected).
- Turn the ignition to the ON position.
- Within 10 seconds, press and release the Valet/Program switch the number of times corresponding to the desired channel.
- After selecting the channel, press and hold the switch. The LED will flash, and the horn will honk (if connected) to confirm.
- Do not release the Program switch until confirmation is complete.

If the learn routine is locked, it must be unlocked using the Bitwriter® before proceeding.
