Appendix G: Project settings
• Surface gain: Shows the amount of light that is reflected by all the objects
in your project. (The standardized default value is 1.)

Preferences

• Hide projectors in Programming layout: Uncheck this box to see the project-
ors when in the Programming layout.
• Show reference grid: Uncheck this box to hide the floor mesh of 1m-by-
1m dimensions.
• Shadow quality: Choose the quality of the shadows caused by the light
of the projectors in the Projection Study.
• Default surface: Choose a 3D object or a Display as the default surface to
be used by the video elements that you drag onto Timelines.
• Antialiasing: Choose the amount of anti-aliasing to be applied in the

Programming layout.

• Constant size projectors: Uncheck this box to change the size of projectors
based on perspective.
• Enable Timeline Element Snapping:
• Lighting: Uncheck this box to allow Timeline elements to move freely
without any snapping.
• No encoding warnings: Check this box to remove the warning when a
video file that was not encoded in X-Agora Media Encoder is dropped
onto a Timeline. (See X-Agora Media Encoder (p.137) for more information
on X-Agora Media Encoder.)
