Upgrading Firmware

To take advantage of all the TPS-4L features, it is important that the unit contains the
latest firmware available. Please check the Crestron website for the latest version of
firmware. Not every product has a firmware upgrade, but as Crestron improves
functions, adds new features, and extends the capabilities of its products, firmware
upgrades are posted.
Typically, upgrade files are downloaded as .zip files. With Crestron Toolbox, it is
not necessary to extract the files before uploading; Crestron Toolbox will
automatically extract the file(s) for you. If you are uploading with a program other
than Crestron Toolbox, it may be necessary to extract the .csf file from the .zip file.
To upgrade the firmware, complete the following steps.
NOTE: A firmware upgrade file for the TPS-4L touchpanel has the extension .csf,
and is provided in a .zip file. The following is a typical firmware upgrade file name
for the TPS-4L.
tps-4l_c2n-ft-tps-4_qm-ftcc-tps_tps-4_2.007.0163.csf
NOTE: The following procedures assume that the TPS-4L is connected to the
Control system via Cresnet and that its unique Cresnet ID (Net ID) is set.
1. Make sure that "Establishing Communications," which begins on page 20,
has been performed.
2. Open Crestron Toolbox.
3. Open the Network Device Tree (the firmware upgrade function is also
available in the SMW Program Tree window).
4. Click on the '+' next to the device name to display the Net ID, then right-
click on the Net ID and select Functions | Firmware. (Refer to the
following illustration.)
