2 minutes. Also operate the lift lever and
PTO lever to ensure proper operation of all
parts. Then shut the engine off and check
fluid levels, check for oil leaks, loose parts,
and any other noticeable malfunctions.
CAUTION
Shut the engine off and wait for all
moving parts to stop before checking

malfunctions.
Stopping the Engine

Disengage the PTO, move the motion-control
levers to the N

Driving the Machine
The throttle control regulates the engine speed as
measured in rpm (revolutions per minute). Place
the throttle control in the F
performance. Always operate in the F
position when mowing.
CAUTION
The machine can turn very rapidly. You may
lose control of it and cause personal injury or
damage to machine.
• Use caution when making turns.
• Slow the machine down before making
sharp turns.

The engine stops if you move the
traction-control levers with the parking brake
engaged.

Move the levers to the center, unlocked position.

Drive the machine as follows:

To drive straight forward, slowly push the
motion-control levers forward
•
To drive straight backward, slowly pull the
motion-control levers rearward
•
To turn, slow the machine by pulling back on
both levers and then push forward on the
lever on the opposite side from which you
want to turn

To stop, pull the motion-control levers to the

position.

The farther you move the traction-control
levers in either direction, the faster the machine
moves in that direction.
