Safety
General Pearl instructions
1. Only use the Pearl on a FamilyFix with IsoFix and make
sure to read the instructions carefully.
2. You are personally responsible for the safety of your
child at all times.
3. Never hold your child on your lap when driving.
4. The Pearl is intended for car use only.
5. The Pearl is developed for an intensive use of
approximately 10 years.
6. We advise to check the expanded polystyrene (EPS)
parts regularly for damages.
7. Do not use second-hand products whose history is
unknown. Some parts could be broken, torn or missing.
8. Replace the Pearl when it has been subject of violent
stresses in an accident: the safety of your child can no
longer be guaranteed.
9. Read this instruction manual carefully and keep it in the
storage space in the FamilyFix.

WARNING :
Do not make any changes to the Pearl
whatsoever, as this could lead to unsafe situations.
The Pearl and your baby
1. Never leave your child unattended.
2. Always secure your child with the harness belt.
3. Check to make sure the headrest is adjusted to the
proper height.
4. Before every use, make sure the harnesses are not
damaged or twisted.
5. Make sure you can fit no more than one finger between
the harnesses and your child (1cm).
Pearl car use
1. Always check to make sure the car seat is compatible
with the vehicle it is to be used in.
2. Make sure the fold-down rear seat is locked into
position.
3. Prevent the Pearl from becoming trapped or weighed
down by luggage, seats and/or slamming doors.
4. Make sure that all luggage and other loose objects are
secure.
5. Deactivate the airbag if using the Pearl on the front
passenger seat. If this is not possible, place the
passenger seat in the rearmost position. The child
seat must be placed on the rear seat of the vehicle or
exceptionally on the front seat depending on the
current legislation in the country of use.
6. Always cover the Pearl when exposed to direct sunlight
in the car. Otherwise, the cover, metal and plastic parts
could become too hot for your child's skin.
WARNING :
The Pearl must always be placed in a
forward-facing position in the car on a Bébé Confort
Family Fix.
Pearl maintenance instructions
1. The cover can be removed for washing. If the cover
needs to be replaced at any time, only use official
Bébé Confort fabrics.
2. The Pearl must undergo regular maintenance. Do not
use lubricants or aggressive cleaning agents.
