Use this guide to assist with the installation of your VDB770 doorbell camera.
Pre-installation checklist
• ADC-VDB770 and included accessories
• Wire crimping tool
• Wi-Fi connection to broadband (Cable, DSL, or Fiber Optic) internet
• A computer, tablet, or smartphone with Wi-Fi is required if the router does not have the Wi-Fi Protected Setup
(WPS) feature
• Verify that your transformer meets the minimum voltage of 16 VAC and minimum power of 10 VA; specifications are
often written directly on the transformer

We just moved into a home that has an ADC-VDB770 installed, but the previous owners didn't leave any documentation. How do I get it to work? Thank you.

To set up the Alarm.com ADC-VDB770, follow these steps:

1. Install the Power Module:
- If using a mechanical chime, turn off power at the breaker.
- Open the chime box and take note of wire connections.
- Install the provided power module according to instructions.

2. Mount the Doorbell:
- Mount the ADC-VDB770 at the door.
- Ensure the wiring is properly connected.

3. Power On the Device:
- Restore power. The LED should blink white after booting.

4. Connect to Wi-Fi (AP Mode recommended):
- On a smartphone or computer, connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi (SSID: ADC-VDB770 XX:YY:ZZ).
- Open a browser and go to http://vdb770install or 192.168.1.1.
- Follow on-screen instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi.
- The LED will turn solid green once connected.

5. Alternative: WPS Mode:
- After boot, hold the button for 30–35 seconds until the LED blinks blue.
- Activate WPS on the router.
- If successful, the LED will turn solid green.

6. Account Requirements:
- Your account must have Video Analytics and Doorbell Camera add-ons enabled.
- Contact your alarm monitoring company if needed.
