The CAN / Pilot signals are transmitted via a 4 -wire cable bundled with the output charge cables.
Connector auxiliary connections as viewed from the end of the battery cable (pictured to the right).
One of the features of this type of communication is that it acts as an arcless disconnect protection circuit. If loss
of the CAN or Pilot signal are detected, the charger will quickly shutdown.
If the small pins become disconnected, the current will stop. If they are pulled while on charge, the charge will be
stopped before a full DC disconnect of the euro connectors.
If a communication cable lead gets disconnected while charging, the charger will shutdown due to the loss of
communication or heartbeat.
Information on charger display
-Current is the exception as it displays what it has across the shunt of the charger
-Battery temp, Voltages and State of Charge come from the BMS
Any time an Eclipse II Plus is charging on BMS mode, the BMS is controlling the output of the charger and what
the charger displays. The charger is not calculating the curve algorithm or modifying the commands coming from
