The OEM can operate the BT900-SC module with any other type of antenna but must ensure that the gain does not exceed 2.21 dBi to maintain the Laird approval. The OEM should consult with a qualified test house before entering their device into an EU member country to make sure all regulatory requirements have been met for their complete device.
