The pistons are now installed,
therefore, the bed will NOT stay down
without the weight of the mattress.
You MUST have another person hold
down or sit on the bed to avoid the risk
of serious injury or death from the bed
slamming shut.
Side supporting bar for slat system
Middle supporting bar for slat system
One-way clip for plywood slats
Two-way center clip for plywood slats

5-ply poplar plywood comfort slat

This product is meant to be used with a
Häfele wall bed system and needs to be
installed after the wall bed has been fully
and safely assembled and secured to the
wall.
Please note that to simplify these
instructions, the visual of the wall bed
has been removed.

  • Page 2 INSTALLING PLASTIC CLIPS: Using a rubber mallet, align the pins on the two-way center clip D and insert in place on B middle supporting bar. Recommended tool (not included): INSTALLING THE MIDDLE SUPPORTING BAR: Using E screws, secure the middle supporting bar B in place. INSTALLING THE SIDE SUPPORTS: Using E screws, secure the side supporting bar A in place.
  • Page 3 INSTALLING THE ONE-WAY CLIPS ON THE SLATS: Insert the one-way clips C on one side the wood slat until it is fully inserted. Repeat for all the slats. * Please make sure to place the wooden slats with the curve upwards, NOT downwards.
  • Page 4 INSTALLING THE REMAINING SLATS: Repeat the process of step 5 for all the remaining slats. ADDING THE MATTRESS At this point, you may add the mattress. Once the mattress is in place, you will be able to use the wall bed mechanism with the comfort slats in place.
