9.5.2 Change/filling (21; 22)
For the intervention timing see chapter
13.
For the type of oil see "0 TECHNICAL
SPECIFICATIONS TABLE"
Use oil without additives.
Change the oil with the engine warm.
The oil may be very hot if removed just
after the engine has been switched off.
Consequently allow the engine to cool
down for a few minutes before pro-
ceeding to drain off the oil.

Proceed as follows:
1. Place the machine on a flat surface.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Open the engine bonnet.
4. Grasp the clamp on the oil drain hose. Use
adjustable pliers, polygrip or similar (21:B,
22:B).
5. Move the clamp along the oil drain hose up-
wards by 3-4 cm and remove the cap.
6. Collect the oil in a container.
NOTE! Be careful not to spill oil on the
drive belts.
7. Insert the oil drain plug and slide the clamp
back over the plug.
8. Clean up any spills.
9. Remove the dipstick and top up with new oil.
For the quantity of oil see "0 TECHNICAL
SPECIFICATIONS TABLE"
10. Each time you fill, start the engine and idle
for 30 seconds.
11. Check there are no oil leaks.
12. Stop the engine. Wait 30 seconds and check
the oil level again as indicated in paragraph
9.5.
13. Hand the spent oil over to a disposal facility
in accordance with local provisions.
[ST. mod. TRE 586V]
1. Place the machine on a flat surface.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Open the engine bonnet.
4. Place a suitable container under the exten-
sion tube (fig. 22.B);
5. Press the split pin (fig. 22.C);

6. Unhook the extension tube from the support
bringing it downwards;
7. Bend the extension tube and empty the oil
into a suitable container;
8. Hook the extension tube (fig. 22.B) back to
the support (fig. 22.D) before topping up the
oil.
9. Clean up any spills.
NOTE! Be careful not to spill oil on the
drive belts.

Remove the dipstick and top up with new oil.

We recommend contacting an authorised service
centre for this maintenance.
First, drain the engine oil and insert the drain plug
as described above.
Hand the spent oil over to a disposal facility
in accordance with local provisions.

13.
After installing the new filter, check for fuel leaks.
