Ignition block. The boiler lights up with each demand for room heating or
hot water production. If this does not occur within 10 seconds, the boiler
goes on "ignition block" (indicator lamp 3 on). To eliminate the block, turn
the main switch (4) temporarily to the Reset position. On first ignition or
following a prolonged downtime the ignition block may have to be inhibited.
If this phenomenon occurs frequently, contact a qualified technician for
assistance (e.g. Immergas Technical Service Centre).
Overtemperature block. During normal operation, if a fault causes
excessive internal overheating, the boiler goes on overtemperature block
(indicator lamp 3 flashing). After appropriate cooling, eliminate the
"overtemperature block" by turning the main switch (4) to Reset. If this
phenomenon occurs frequently, contact a qualified technician for assistance
(e.g. Immergas Technical Services Centre).
Intervention of fumes thermostat. During operation, if the fumes exhaust
duct does not work properly the fume thermostat intervenes blocking the
boiler. The boiler restarts automatically after 30 minutes if normal conditions
return, without having to be reset. If this anomaly persists, contact a qualified
technician for assistance (e.g. Immergas Technical Assistance Service).
System delivery NTC sensor fault. If the unit detects an anomaly in the
system delivery NTC sensor, the boiler will not start; call a qualified technician
(e.g. the Immergas Technical Assistance Service).
Domestic circuit NTC sensor fault. If the unit detects an anomaly in the
domestic circuit NTC sensor, the boiler will not produce domestic hot water;
call a qualified technician (e.g. the Immergas Technical Assistance Service).
Insufficient water circulating. This occurs if there is overheating in the
boiler due to insufficient water circulating in the primary circuit; the causes
can be:
- low circulation; check that no shutoff devices are closed on the heating
circuit and that the system is free of air (deaerated);
- circulating pump blocked; free the circulating pump.
If this phenomenon occurs frequently, contact a qualified technician for
assistance (e.g. Immergas Technical Services Centre).
Lack of water in boiler. Not enough water pressure detected in the heating
circuit to guarantee correct boiler operation. Make sure the pressure in the
system is between 1÷1.2 bar.
Domestic circuit leaks. If during operation in the heating phase there is a
temperature rise in domestic hot water the boiler signals the anomaly and
reduces the heating temperature to limit the formation of scale in the
exchanger.
Make sure that all the cocks of the domestic circuit are closed and hot
dripping, and in any case that there are no leaks in the circuit. The boiler
returns to normal functioning when optimal conditions are restored in the
domestic circuit.
If this anomaly persists, contact a qualified technician for assistance (e.g.
Immergas Technical Assistance Service).
Restoring heating system pressure.
Periodically check the system water pressure. The boiler pressure gauge
should read a pressure between 1 and 1.2 bar.
If the pressure falls below 1 bar (with the circuit cool) restore normal pressure
via the valve located at the bottom of the boiler (see figure).
N.B.: close the valve on completion.
If pressure values reach around 3 bar the safety valve may be activated.
In this case contact a professional technician for assistance.
In the event of frequent pressure drops, contact qualified personnel for
assistance to eliminate system leakage.

Draining the system.
To drain the boiler, use the special drain cock.
Before draining, ensure that the filling valve is closed.
Anti-freeze protection.
The boiler is comes standard with an anti-freeze function that turns on the
pump and burner when system water temperature in the boiler falls below
4°C and stops once temperatures exceed 42°C The anti-freeze function is
guaranteed if the boiler is fully operative and not in "block" status, and is
electrically fed with the main switch is set to Summer or Winter. To avoid
continued operation in the event of prolonged absence, the system must
be drained completely or anti-freeze substances should be added to the
heating system water. In both cases the domestic water circuit of the boiler
must be drained. In appliances subject to frequent draining, the system
must be refilled with suitably treated water to eliminate hardness that may
cause the formation of scale.
