4.2 NetWorker
Tape drive model name: LT26BSxx, LT26BFxx
Download and install the driver that corresponds to the Windows OS version and CPU from the IBM Fix Cen-
tral website.
Configuring the registry
If the LT260 has multiple tape drives, a restart of the Windows OS may change the recognition order of the
tape drives during the system startup.
If NetWorker uses the LT260, the changed recognition order of the tape drives becomes inconsistent with the
recognition order in NetWorker and prevents NetWorker from using the LT260. To prevent this problem, con-
figure the registry so that NetWorker uses the unique identification information (such as serial numbers) that
is specified for the tape drive.
Set the registry of the tape drives before configuring the library such as by executing NetWorker's "jbconfig"
command.
Example: Device name of the tape drive

The registry setting procedure is as follows.
Procedure

Click the [Start] button, click [Run], type "regedit", and then click [OK].

Click the following registry subkey.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Tape

On the [Edit] menu, point to [New], and then click [DWORD Value].

Type "Persistence", and then press the [ENTER] key.

Right-click the "Persistence" registry entry, and then click [Modify].

Type "1" in the [Value data] box, and then click [OK].

Quit Registry Editor.

Restart the computer.
