Possible Causes
Ice storage bin needs
cleaning.
Food transmitting odor/
taste to ice cubes.
Interior of refrigerator
needs cleaning.
Poor-tasting incoming water.
Icemaker turned off or
water supply turned off.
Ice cubes are frozen to
icemaker feeler arm.
Irregular ice clumps in
storage container.
Water dispenser not been
used for a long time.
Poor-tasting incoming water.
Water supply line turned
Supply line clogged
with sediment.
Air may be trapped in the
water system.
What To Do
•
Empty and wash bin.
Discard old cubes.
•
Wrap foods well.

•
Install a water filter.
•
Turn on icemaker or
water supply.
•
Remove cubes and move
the feeler arm to the
ON (down) position.
•
Break up with fingertip
pressure and discard
remaining clumps.
•
Freezer temperature may
be too warm. Adjust the
freezer control to a colder
setting, one position at a
time, until the clumps do
not form.
•
Dispense water until
all water in system is
replenished.
•
Install a water filter.

•
Press the dispenser pad for
at least two minutes.
