Non dimenticate di spurgare i rubinetti delle
bombole prima di collegare il riduttore
Assicuratevi che la vite di regolazione sia svitata
prima di collegare la bombola
Verificate bene il serraggio del raccordo prima di
aprire il rubinetto della bombola.
Aprite il rubinetto progressivamente, per frazioni di
giro.
In caso di perdite non svitate mai un raccordo sotto
pressione, chiudete prima il rubinetto della bombola.
d)Lavoro in ambienti chiusi
Esempi :
gallerie
canalizzazioni, pipe-line
scafi di navi
pozzi
cisterne, serbatoi
ballast
silos
reattori
Delle precauzioni particolari devono essere prese
prima di intraprendere delle operazioni di saldatura in
ambienti chiusi dove il pericolo di
asfissia/intossicazione e di incendio/esplosione é
notevole.
Verificate che ci sia sempre una ventilazione
sufficente, facendo particolare attenzione:
alla sotto-ossigenazione
alla sovra-ossigenazione
agli eccessi di gas combustibili
3)INTERVENTI A SEGUITO DI UN INCIDENTE
In caso di perdite non infiammabili:
bloccate l'alimentazione del gas
non utilizzate ne fiamme ne apparecchi elettrici
nella zona in cui é avvenuta la perdita
In caso di perdite infiammabili:
bloccate l'alimentazione del gas se il rubinetto é
accessibile
utilizzate degli estintori a polvere
se la perdita non può essere bloccata, lasciate
bruciare raffreddando la bombola e le installazioni
vicine.

PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE :
Do not forget to purge cylinder valves before
connecting the pressure regulator.
Check that the pressure relief screw is slackened
off before connection to the cylinder.
Check that, the union is tight before opening the
valve on cylinder.
Open it slowly a fraction of a turn.
If there is a leak, never tighten a union which is
under pressure, but first close the valve on the
cylinder.
d)Working in enclosed spaces
Examples :
tunnels and crawl spaces
pipelines, ducts
holds of ships
wells, manholes, basements
cisterns, tanks, containers
ballast tanks
silos
reactors
Special precautions must be taken before
undertaking welding work in such enclosures where
there is a very great danger of asphyxia and
poisoning and fire and explosion. A work
authorization procedure defining all the safety
measures must be systematically set up.
Ensure that there is adequate ventilation by paying
special attention to :
under oxygenation
over oxygenation
excess of combustible gas
3) INTERVENTION FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT
In the case of a leak which has not caught fire :
close the gas inlet
do not use any flame or electrical device in the
area where the leaking gas could have spread.
In the case of a leak which has caught fire :
close the gas inlet if the valve can be reached
use powder extinguishers
if the leak can not be stopped, let the fire burn
while cooling the cylinders and the surrounding
installations.
