3.SICUREZZA PER L'USO DEI GAS
3.1
REGOLE COMUNI A TUTTI I TIPI DI GAS
1) RISCHI POSSIBILI
Le cattive condizioni d'uso dei gas, espongono
l'utilizzatore a due rischi principali specialmente nel
caso di utilizzazione in uno spazio chiuso:
Il pericolo di asfissia o intossicazione
Il pericolo di incendio o esplosione
2) PRECAUZIONI DA PRENDERE
a)Stoccaggio sotto forma compressa in bombole
Fare riferimento alle norme di sicurezza indicate dal
fabbricante di gas ed in particolare:
Le zone di stoccaggio o di utilizzo devono
possedere una buona ventilazione, devono essere
sufficientemente lontane dalle zone di saldatura o
taglio e da altre sorgenti di calore e devono essere
al riparo da incidenti tecnici.
Legate le bombole ed evitate gli urti.
Evitate il calore eccessivo (> 50° C).
b)Canalizzazioni e tubature
Verificate periodicamente la tenuta delle
canalizzazioni fisse e delle tubazioni in gomma.
Non individuate le fughe di gas a mezzo di una
fiamma. Utilizzate i mezzi appropriati e in caso di
mancanza di quest'ultimi utilizzate dell'acqua con
un pennello.
Utilizzate tubi con colori convenzionali per i
differenti tipi di gas.
La distribuzione del gas deve essere effettuata alla
pressione indicata per le vostre attrezzature.
Non lasciate tubi in giro nell'officina; rischiano il
deterioramento precoce.
c)Utilizzazione delle attrezzature
Utilizzate solamente attrezzature previste per il
gas utilizzato.
Verificate che la bombola ed il riduttore
corrispondano bene al gas necessario al
procedimento.
Non ingrassate mai i rubinetti. Manovrateli con
delicatezza.

3. SAFETY WHEN USING GASES
3.1 INSTRUCTIONS COMMON TO ALL GASES
1) HAZARDS
When gases are used incorrectly, they expose the
user to two main dangers, in particular when
working in an enclosed space :
The danger of asphyxia or poisoning
The danger of fire or explosion
2) PRECAUTIONS TO BE RESPECTED
a) Storage in compressed form in cylinders
Comply with the safety recommendations given by
the supplier and in particular :
Areas of storage or use of gases must be well
ventilated, be sufficiently far from an area of
welding or cutting, and other sources of heat,
and be protected against a technical incident.
Tie down cylinders, prevent impact.
No excessive heat (> 50° C).
b) Pipes and hoses
Periodically check the tightness of fixed pipes
and rubber hoses.
Never use a flame to detect a leak. Use an
appropriate leak detector or, if one is not
available, water and a brush.
Mark hoses with different colors, according to
gases.
Supply the gases at the pressures recommended
in the equipment manuals.
Do not let hoses lie about in work shops. They
could be damaged.
c) Use of devices
Only use devices designed for the gases
employed.
Check that the cylinder and the pressure
regulator indeed correspond to the gas needed
for the process.
Never lubricate valves. Manipulate them with
care.
