EXTERNAL COMPONENT OPERATIONS

Playing an external component

For KD-SH9750:
You can connect an external components to the
LINE IN plugs on the rear.
• If you cannot select "LINE IN" as the source,
change the "Line in" setting to "On." (See pages 40
and 42.)
For KD-SH9700:
You can connect the external component to the
CD changer jack on the rear using the Line Input
Adapter KS-U57 (not supplied).
• For connecting the Line Input Adapter KS-U57 and
the external component, refer to the Installation/
Connection Manual (separate volume).
• Before operating the external component, change
the "Ext Input" setting to "Line In." (See pages 40
and 42.)

Select the external component
(LINE IN).

If you have assigned a different name to the
external component, it will appear.

Turn on the connected component
and start playing the source.

Adjust the volume.

Select the DSP mode and sound
mode as you want.
• For the DSP modes, see page 25.
• For the sound (iEQ) modes, see page 28.
Note:
When the source is "LINE IN," the DISP (D) button
will not work.
