Pressure Switch Adjustments
.
1. Turn differential nut clockwise to increase
the pressure difference between CUT-IN
(pump on) and CUT-OUT (pump off) by
raising the CUT-OUT pressure.
2. Turn range nut clockwise to simultaneously
increase both the CUT-IN and CUT-OUT
pressure equally.
NOTE: An optional pressure gage is required
when adjusting the pressure switch to deter-
mine when the desired pressure settings are
achieved. A pressure port has been provided in
the top of the pump near the discharge for this purpose.

Disassembly
If you need to service the impeller, motor, or seal, first remove the power from the pump. Then discon-
nect pressure line from the pressure switch. You do not need to disconnect the pipes if the plumbing
was installed properly.
1. For 1/2 HP and 3/4 HP pumps, remove the bolts holding the motor bracket to its foundation and the
bolts holding the motor to the pump case. Then take off the motor and the bracket assembly.
• This will expose the diffuser and impeller.
2. For 1 HP and 1-1/2 HP pumps, remove the bolts holding the seal plate to the pump case.
• This will allow removal of the motor and seal plate as an assembly and will expose the diffuser
and impeller.
3. Unscrew the diffuser from the seal plate to reach the impeller.
• The impeller and wear ring must be removed to reach the shaft seal.
4. Clean the seals and the sealing surfaces in the pump case.
• Lightly lubricate the rubber part of the seals with silicone grease to aid in the assembly.
• DO NOT lubricate the carbon or ceramic faces on the shaft seal.
5. Reassemble in reverse order.
6. Refer to
