  • Page 2 SYSTEM CAPACITANCE MEASUREMENT Remove power from Aircraft Fuel Quantity System. Defuel Aircraft as per Aircraft Maintenance Manual instructions. CAUTION: Observe all safety precautions. Gain access to the Signal Conditioner. Break electrical connection. Connect the Adapter Harness A/C connector to mating Aircraft wiring plug.
  • Page 3 SYSTEM INSULATION MEASUREMENT Remove power from Aircraft Fuel Quantity System. Defuel Aircraft as per Aircraft Maintenance Manual instructions. CAUTION: Observe all safety precautions. Gain access to the Signal Conditioner. Break electrical connection. Connect the Adapter Harness A/C connector to mating Aircraft wiring plug.
  • Page 4 Disconnect all connections. Return aircraft to normal configuration. SIGNAL CONDITIONER / INDICATOR TEST Remove power from Aircraft Fuel Quantity System. Gain access to the Signal Conditioner. Break electrical connection. Connect the Adapter Harness AUX connector to mating Aircraft wiring plug. Connect the Adapter Harness SIG.
  • Page 5 421C) or 93.6 pF (404). Depress and hold the COMP CAL pushbutton while varying the 0- 10 adjust knob to achieve the best null (as close to 0 µA as possible) on the Test Set meter. NOTE: Refer to Test Set manual for details. Release the pushbutton.

Gain access to the Signal Conditioner. Break electrical connection. Connect the Adapter Harness AUX connector to mating Aircraft wiring plug.
  • Page 7 Set the TANK CAP pF thumbwheels to 55.9 pF for 100 grade fuel) 57.1 pF (for 100 octane low lead fuel) {402C, 414A, 421C} or to 44.0 pF for 100 grade fuel) 46.2 pF (for 100 octane low lead fuel {404}. Depress and hold the COMP CAL pushbutton while varying the 0- 10 adjust knob to achieve the best null (as close to 0 µA as possible) on the Test Set meter.
