Resolving Operator Panel Status/Error Messages

Description or Cause
• Paper is not loaded
correctly, or it is loose on
the roll.
• Debris in the paper path.
• The printer needs to be
calibrated.
Refer to the following table to resolve errors that appear on the
operator panel. If the error persists, contact Service and Support.
Description or Cause
The front door is open.
The wrong type of ribbon is
loaded.
• The paper is empty or is not
loaded correctly.
• The paper and ribbon are
both empty.
The ribbon is empty or is not
loaded correctly.
The paper is jammed in the
paper path.
Possible Solution
• Make sure that the paper is
loading correctly and
wound tightly onto the roll,
see page 2-9.
• Clear any debris from the
paper path.
• Download the calibration
application from
www.kodakalaris.com/go/
printerupdates.
Possible Solution
Close the front cover.
Check for 6FR2 and 5FR2 on the ribbon
supply spool. If necessary, replace the ribbon
with the correct type (see
