M
ECHANICAL STOPPER ADJUSTMENT
To adjust the stoppers you have to follow the scheme (Fig. 12).
To set the opening limit it's enough to fix the stopper (A) in the needed
position by tightening the 8mA screw with a n.13 key.
To obtain the desired closing limit you must adjust the stopper (B)
(OPTIONAL) ) in the needed position and tighten it as for stopper (A).
E
MERGENCY RELEASE
To move the gate manually it is necessary to release the operator
inserting the special key and turning it 3 times in the anti-clockwise
sense (Fig. 14).
In order to carry out the manual operation of the gate leaf the followings
must be checked:
- That the gate is endowed with appropriate handles;
- That these appropriate handles are placed so to avoid safety risks for
the operator;
- That the physical effort necessary to move the gate leaf should not be
higher than 225 N, for doors/gates for private dwellings, and, 390N for
doors/gates for commercial and industrial sites ( values indicated in
5.3.5 of the EN 12453 norm).
ATTENTION: If you release KING PLUS with power supply on and
move the leaves, the encoder will lose the position of the leaves.
To reset the correct operations of the gate you have to re-engage
the motors, cut-off and turn on the power supply and give a
command.
E
LECTRICAL SAFETY DEVICES
The installation must be installed according to the current regulations
and laws.
Single-phase KING PLUS models are equipped with ENCODERS for
obstacle detection. If an obstacle is encountered during movement
these actuators go immediately into reverse so as to prevent any
danger of crushing or dragging (as required by European regulations
EN12453 and EN12445) without having to fit edge sensors.
It is recommended that the following electronic control units be used:
- KS2 or T2 for 1 or 2 single-phase KING.
T2 control panel cannot be used to control single-phase KING PLUS
units with ENCODERS.
For connections and technical data of accessories refer to the
appropriate booklets.
C
ONNECTION TO THE POWER SUPPLY
In single-phase KING units, terminals 1-2-3 of the motor connector
must be connected respectively to terminals V-W-U of the control
panel.
C
ONNECTION TO THE ENCODER (PLUS versions only)
KING PLUS units are equipped with a built-in ENCODER.
Connect terminals 1 / 2 / 3 of the connector connected to ENCODER
(5Vdc) to terminals S / + / GND.
W
ARNING!
The length of connection cables from the motors to the control panel
unit must not exceed 15 m. The wire section of the motor power supply
must be 2.5 mm
, whilst that of the accessories must be 0,75 mm
2
As for the encorder it is very important to use a shielded wire with a
section of 0,75 mm
type ÖLFLEX-110 CH (Cod. ACG2133).
2
It is compulsory to use shielded cable for the encoder in order to
guarantee the correct operation of the control board.
To ensure the correct functioning of the installation it is advisable to wire
encoder and motor with separate cables.
F
ORCE ADJUSTMENT
Single-phase KING require a KS2 or a T2 electronic control panel,
equipped with electronic force regulator.
With single-phase KING PLUS , the operator is equipped with an
ENCODER to detect an obstacle and the recommended control board
for this type of actuator is the KS 2.
M
AINTENANCE
To be undertaken only by specialized staff after disconnecting power
supply.
Lubricate the hinges and check the oil level and thrust force generated
by the operator on the gate once a year.
Lubricate the nut screw with silicon grease every two years.
