INSTALLATION and OPERATION MANUAL
For use with Valor GV60 PLUS Remote Control Systems ONLY*
One-Hour Shutdown Feature
The handset GV60BRK offers the same functionality as
the regular thermostatic handset for the Valor GV60
PLUS remote control except that the automatic shutdown
feature is one hour instead of eight hours.
*NOTE: The handset GV60BRK can be used ONLY on
receivers having the letters GW and newer next to the
date code (G6R-R3AM, silver foil labelled receivers).
The one-hour feature handset will allow the fireplace
to turn down to pilot one hour after the last flame
adjustment is made regardless of which mode is used to
adjust the flame.
The fireplace will also turn to pilot after one hour if the
handset loses communication with the receiver or if it is
out of range.
Synchronize Remote Control
The receiver and the handset of the remote control sys-
tem must be initially synchronized before the first use.
1. Insert alkaline batteries in the remote control
battery holder and handset. The battery holder is
located beside the receiver, near the control valve
under the firebox, left of the firebox or beside the
wall switch.
2. With a sharp object, press and hold the receiver's
reset button until you hear one short and one long
beeps. Release the reset button after the second
beep.

3. Within the subsequent 20
seconds, press the small flame
button ( ) on the remote
handset until you hear two
short beeps confirming the
sychronization is set. If you
hear one long beep, this
indicates the code learning
sequence has failed or the
wiring is incorrect.
This is a one time setting only and is not required when
changing the batteries in the remote receiver.
The remote control system is now ready to use.
• Once synchronized with a receiver, the handset does
not need to be in the room or in use to maintain the
one-hour shutdown feature.
• The one-hour feature is maintained when using a
1265WSK or RBWSK wall switch.
• One handset can be used to synchronize multiple
receivers to activate the one-hour feature.
• Synchronizing the receiver again with a regular
handset will cancel the one-hour shutdown feature.
