Require Password for Printing
Select to require a user password for FTP printing. By default, no password is required for FTP printing. After
you define a password for a user and assign the user to at least one group, selecting this option requires the
imagePRESS Server to verify that the user belongs to a group with printing privileges and that the user name and
password are valid.
Timeout (sec)
Specify the timeout.
Enable Scan to FTP
Note: The Scan to FTP function is no longer supported. This setting displays but is no longer valid.
LDAP
Enable LDAP
Select this option to use an LDAP server.
The imagePRESS Server communicates with corporate servers using the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol
(LDAP) v3, which is based on RFC2251.
Through the use of LDAPv3, the imagePRESS Server accesses email addresses.
These email addresses are used by the scanning functions in the imagePRESS Server.
The imagePRESS Server also communicates with corporate servers using LDAP to access LDAP users and
groups information, and to authenticate users. For this functionality, the imagePRESS Server supports LDAP
connections only to Active Directory servers.
Server
Enter the name or IP address of the LDAP server that you want to use.
Port
Specifies the imagePRESS Server port used to communicate to the LDAP server. When Secure Communication
is selected, the port number automatically changes to 636. When Secure Communication is not selected, the
port number automatically changes to 389. After the port number changes, the user can override the specified
port.
Secure Communication
Verifies authentication based on the exchange of certificates based on public/private keys according to the X509
standard using either Secure Socket Layer (SSL) by default or Transport Layer Security (TLS) if the LDAP server
supports TLS.
