Setting up from the printer control panel

General

Specify general imagePRESS Server settings.
Server Name
Sets the name of the imagePRESS Server on the network (15 characters maximum).
Note: If you set up more than one imagePRESS Server, do not assign them the same name.
Server Comments
Provides optional information about the imagePRESS Server (64 characters maximum). Only alphanumeric
characters and the hyphen are allowed.
Workgroup or Domain
Specifies the name of the Workgroup or Domain.
Use Character Set
Specifies which character set to use to display user names and filenames on the printer control panel and in
Command WorkStation. This is important if the names include accented or composite characters (such as é or æ).
For mixed-platform networks, select the setting that gives the best overall representation of the special characters
you use.
Note: Some characters may not display correctly if Macintosh is selected. To avoid this, use 1-byte characters for job
and user names.
Enable Hot Folders
Enables Fiery Hot Folders, an EFI application that allows you to print jobs by dragging them to folders that store and
reuse preset print options.
Contact Info
Enter information about who to contact when you have an issue with the imagePRESS Server or the printer.

Select Language

Select the language and region of the imagePRESS Server.
Server Language
Specify the language of the imagePRESS Server.
