16.2 Combination switch

a. Removal / Installation
Align the projection of the switch with the groove of the control panel.
[1] SWITCH COVER
[2] LOCK NUT
[3] COLLAR
[4] GROOVE
[5] COMBINATION SWITCH
[6] PROJECTION
[7] CONTROL PANEL
b. Inspection
COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION
Check for continuity between the terminals with the switch in each position.
Continuity should exist between the terminals indicated by inter- connected circles on the
chart below.

16.3 Battery

The battery gives off explosive gases; keep sparks, flames and cigarettes away.
Provide adequate ventilation when charging.
The battery contains sulphuric acid (electrolyte). Contact with skin or eyes may
cause severe burns.
If electrolyte gets on your skin, flush with water.
If electrolyte gets in your eyes, flash with water at least 15 minutes and call a
physician.
Electrolyte is poisonous.
If swallowed, drink large quantities of water of milk and follow with milk magnesia or
vegetable oil and call a physician.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
INSPECTION
Disconnect the 2P coupler under the control box.
Measure the battery voltage at 2P female coupler.
