To set the compression damping
force adjuster to the standard
position, turn the adjuster clock-
wise until it stops and then turn it
counterclockwise 4 and 1/2 turns.
Turn the adjuster clockwise from
the standard position to stiffen the
damping force. Turn the adjuster
counterclockwise to soften the
damping
force.
force should be adjusted gradu-
ally, 1/8 turn at a time, to fine-tune
the suspension.
WARNING
Unequal suspension adjust-
ment can cause poor handling
and instability.
Adjust the right and left front
forks to the same setting.

Spring Pre-load Adjustment
This adjustment can be per-
formed by changing the adjuster
ring position. However, Suzuki
recommends that this adjustment
be done by your authorized
Suzuki dealer, since a special tool
is needed for this job.
