ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Audio Connection of the DVD-Player over the Optical Output:
Please connect the digital optical output with the corresponding input on the amplifier by means of an optical cable.
Please note that this connection is only possible if your amplifier contains a DTS/Dolby Digital Decoder. In this case the
digital output has to be set to SPDIF RAW. For standard amplifiers without decoder the digital output has to be set to
SPDIF/PCM.

- Switch on the TV, then switch the "TV/VIDEO" mode to "VIDEO" mode. This player can play the formats DVD, VCD,
CD-R/RW, MP3, Photo CD with JPEG files and DTS discs.
- If it is connected to an AUDIO system, the amplifier has to be switched on and the corresponding input has to be
set (e. g. "CD" or "AUX").
1. Switch on the power
- Press the "POWER/ON/OFF" switch to activate the power of the device.
- When the display panel indicates "ON", "READ", the disc is read.
- If no disc is inserted, the display panel will indicate "INSERT DISC".
2. Insert the disc
- Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button to open the tray. The display panel will indicate "OPEN".
- Insert the disc in the centre of the tray.
- Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button again, after closing the tray, there will be displayed "CLOSE" on the display panel.
- If the disc supports the "FIRST PLAY" function, the title of the disc will be played immediately.
3. Start playing
- Press the "PLAY" button to start playing the disc:
* If the disc inserted is a DVD disc, the title menu can be selected for playing or various special playing functions
can be selected depending on the content of the disc.
* If the disc inserted is a VCD disc with PBC function, the menu will appear on the screen and the operation can be
done according to the instructions on the menu or the "MENU" button can be pressed again to remove the PBC
function and to play directly.
* If the VCD disc does not have PBC function or if the disc inserted is an ordinary music CD, the entire disc will be
played directly.
4. Stop playing
- Pressing the "STOP" button will immediately stop playing:
* "HOLD" will appear on the display.
* Press the "PLAY" button again to start playing on the same place.
* Press the "STOP" button twice to stop playing. "STOP" will appear on the display.
5. Remove the disc
- Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button. The display indicates "OPEN", remove the disc.
6. Switch off the power
- After pressing the "POWER" button on the remote control, the device will go into standby mode. In order to switch
the device comletely off, please press the "POWER/ON/OFF" on the front panel.
