9 Maintenance
Maintenance and repair work must only be carried out by qualified personnel.
WARNING! Danger of electric shock
Risks through the electricity supply must be prevented.
For all maintenance and repair work, the interface converter/pump(s)/plant
must be switched off at the mains and protected against unauthorised
switching on again.
10 Faults, causes and remedy
Problem
A pump on a DigiCon
does not comply
with the Building
management
system (BMS)
specifications.
All pumps at a Digi-
Con do not comply
with specifications
of the Building
management
system (BMS).

Causes/to be checked
The BMS does not send the
correct specifications.
The "Bus Communication" sig-
nal lamp lights up red con-
stantly or now and then.
Check on the pump display
whether the automatic com-
munication build-up between
pump(s) and DigiCon via the
PLR interface has taken place:
the communication symbol
"double arrow" must be visible
on the pump display.
The BMS does not send the
correct specifications.
The "Bus Communication" sig-
nal lamp lights up red con-
stantly or now and then.
"Pump Communication" signal
lamp lights up red constantly.
Cable between BMS and Digi-
Con is interrupted.
Solution
Check the BMS, alternatively,
temporarily disconnect the PLR
connection at the pump and set
the pump locally.
RS 485 cable: check connection,
termination resistances and
cable screen.
• Cable between DigiCon and
pump is interrupted,
repair cable.
• Check IF-Module
Check the BMS, alternatively,
temporarily disconnect the RS
485 at the transfer point and
control pump(s) locally at the
DigiCon.
RS 485 cable: check connection,
termination resistances and
cable screen.
• Check cable between pump
and DigiCon.
• Check IF-Module.
Repair cable, alternatively, con-
trol pump(s) locally at the Digi-
Con.
