Maintaining the cooker hood with edge extraction
When removing the grease filters, it is recommended to protect the cooker using a piece of Sty-
rofoam or polystyrene. This way you avoid damaging the cooker in case the filters drop from your
hands. Pay attention if the cooker is no longer operating!
You can remove the grease filter by:
• Pushing the stainless steel cap away from you into the U-section (1).
• Lowering the front side of the filter (2).
Extra tip
You can keep the cooker hood system clean by boiling a pot with water, lemon juice (from one lemon)
and a glass of vinegar for 20 minutes. Have it boil with the cooker hood set at position 2 and then let
the cooker hood run for another 15 minutes.
In case of a plasma system, apply the same method and rinse the hydrosorb filter in water with
detergent. The grease filters can be cleaned in the dishwasher every 2 weeks.
Replacing the carbon carbon discs (if installed)
1. Open the tilting panel.
2. Remove the carbon disc.
3. Grab hold of the carbon filter and rotate to remove.
4. Once the carbon disc is entirely saturated, it must be replaced by a new one.

Washable carbon filter

Cleaning instructions
Remove the washable carbon filter from the hood.
Wash the filter in a dishwasher at the maximum temperature using a common household detergent.
MAX temperature 70°C.
It is recommended to wash the filter alone without dishes to avoid traces of food that can be
deposited on the filter, causing bad smells. After the washing, let the filter dry perfectly inside the
dishwasher or in-room.
Reactivate the carbon filter putting it in the oven at a maximum temperature of 90°C for about
60 min.
Reassemble the filter on the hood. In order to guarantee a better performance of the carbon filter
making a normal use of the hood, it is recommended to wash and regenerate the filters at least once
every two months.
Remove the washable carbon filter from the hood.
Filter specifications
LIFETIME:
The filter lifetime is influenced by many factors like:
• the types of pollutants exposed to the filter and their concentration;
• period of exposure;
• speed/flow rate performance of the hood.
These may affect the filter behaviour even after its regeneration in a significant way.
For a normal use of the hood at a medium operating speed, the carbon filter tends to reduce its smell
absorption capacity after progressive regeneration cycles. Approximately, it is recommended to
replace the filter after 2 years of use.
DISPOSAL:
As regards the disposal, the provision requires all used carbons to be firstly analised and
then disposed according to the result of the tests. In the specific case of the domestic field,
the absorbed compounds are not harmful to the environment, thus they can be disposed
as general, in compliance with local and national regulations. The user shall deliver the
product to specific local collection centres.
