Engine Oil
Check the oil level before each use. Remove the plug
and check for horizontal machine that the oil level
is between the two marks. If necessary, add to oil.
Replace Oil
The oil must be replaced every 50 operating hours
whilst the engine is off and in warm condition.
To do so, it may be necessary to let the engine run
briefly. Then let the oil drain off into a suitable con-
tainer by removing the oil drain plug (6a) (fig. 20).
After the oil has been completely drained, refill with
new oil.
Recommended engine oil
SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 (depending on appli-
cation temperature).
Important hint in case of sending the equipment
to a service station:

11. Storage

Store the device and its accessories in a dark, dry
and frost-proof place that is inaccessible to children.
The optimum storage temperature is between 5 and
30˚C.
If the power sweeper will not be used for a period
longer than 30 days, follow the steps below to pre-
pare your unit for storage.
1. Drain the fuel tank completely. Stored fuel con-
taining ethanol or MTBE can start to go stale in
30 days. Stale fuel has high gum content and can
clog the carburetor and restrict fuel flow.
2. Start the engine and allow it to run until it stops.
This ensures that no fuel is left in the carburetor.
Run the engine until it stops. This helps prevent
gum deposits from forming inside the carburetor
and possible engine damage.
3. While the engine is still warm, drain the oil from
the engine. Refill with fresh oil of the grade rec-
ommended in the maintenance plan.
4. Use clean cloths to clean off the outside of the
machine and to keep the air vents free of ob-
structions.
