Purpose:

On all Finn machines equipped with a Cummins QSF2.8 engine (075880), some engine settings are set at
the factory and are password protected to prevent tampering. When a new replacement control box
assembly or display is installed on one of these machines, those settings need to be re-input for proper
operation of the engine and machine. This Technical Bulletin provides the steps for this process. The
steps for the T170 and MB50 machines differ slightly from one another and are detailed separately
below.
DO NOT DEVIATE FROM THE SETTINGS PROVIDE BELOW. OPERATING THE MACHINE WITH
SETTINGS OTHER THAN THOSE APPROVED HEREIN BY FINN CORPORATION COULD RESULT IN
DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT, DEATH, OR SERIOUS INJURY.

Steps (T170)

:
1. After display or control box is installed, Turn the key switch to "ON". It is not necessary to start
the engine.
2. On the display, press any key to activate the Soft Key menu.
