Replacing the pump motor

Disconnect the power supply to the filter.
Unhook the filter, taking care not to damage the liner. To do this, insert a screw driver into the
recesses in the filter support guide (304) on either side of the corner. Lift the liner Hung track (209)
very slightly and pull on the filter support guide to unclip it.
Remove the lid, and then the cartridge.
Unscrew the 4 screws at the bottom of the filter body.
Replace the pump and repeat this procedure in the reverse order.
7.3

Wood upkeep

Inspect the accessible surfaces of the wooden slats regularly for splinter. Remove them if found.
To preserve the wood's initial colour, simply apply a colourless stain at regular intervals. You may
alternatively use a colour stain, or colourless oil to nourish the wood and slow discolouration. Before
applying the treatment, make sure that it is micro-porous and will allow the wood to breathe.
Do not apply the product on areas in contact with the liner, it could migrate through the liner and stain it.
Also, for the same reason, take care not to apply too much product at the slat joins.
7.4

Liner upkeep

Given that the liner is exposed to sunlight and water disinfection oxidising products, slow and gradual
discolouration is inevitable.
This phenomenon will be accelerated and exacerbated if the water pH is too low (less than 6.8 for chlorine),
or if excessive quantities of disinfectants are used. If conditions are really extreme, creases could appear
in the liner and it will lose its elasticity.
On the other hand, if the pH is too high (pH > 7.8 for chlorine), the disinfectant power of the oxidising
products will be severely reduced, or even lost, thus allowing the growth of micro-organisms.
Therefore, it is important to:
Measure the water's pH regularly, and keep it between 7 and 7.4;
Take care not to overdose the pool with disinfectant products.
Specifically, do not allow solid disinfectants (tablets, pellets) come into contact with the pool floor: on
contact, they will discolour the liner, leading to the formation of a white stain, and creases will appear at
the interface.
At the water line, the liner is vulnerable to deposition of various pollutants floating on the surface of the
water (sun cream residues, exhaust fumes, wood smoke, etc.). The Water Lily sponge will absorb most of
the oily substances floating on the water surface, however the water line should be cleaned using products
compatible with PVC-P liners as soon as a brown line starts to appear. Over time, these deposits could
become encrusted in the material making them impossible to clean off.
Dead leaves, twigs and insects that sink to the bottom of the pool should be removed by vacuuming or
using a leaf rake. Otherwise, their decomposition could lead to staining of the liner.
7.5

Winterizing

Outside the pool season, drain the filter and store it and the power supply somewhere dry. Check the water
level regularly, it can rise due to rainfall, make sure it remains below 58 cm. Drain water out of the pool as
necessary.
