Trouble
Pressure drop

Calculator does not react or

Values measured remain unstable

10.2 Trouble shooting IAM
Trouble
IAM tap leaks
Air volume measured is
improbably high
ICC
Reason
Upper needle leakage.
Piercing leak.
Battery voltage is less than
7 Volts.
Moisture in connector joints
has negatively affects
measurement signals.
Pressure transducer is
defective.
Temperature sensor is
defective.
The calculated CO
value is
2
out of range. The cause is
usually for out-of-range p or T
values measured.
Reason
Tap has insufficient sealing.
The lye is saturated (white)
and is no longer absorbing
CO
2.
HAFFMANS ICC
Solution
Replace O-ring (see paragraph
9.1).
Check rubber cone.
Use PET-bottle holder 005.218.
Connect the charger as
described in paragraph 9.2.
Loosen, dry and clean pressure
transducer connection cable, or
clean the temperature sensor
connection.
Check operation using
calibration procedure and
stability under atmospheric
pressure. Measured value may
not vary by more than 2 digits.
Measure the resistance between
the pins of the PT100's
connector.
Between pin 1 and 2:
pin 1 and 3:
pin 1 and 4:
pin 2 and 3:
pin 2 and 4:
pin 3 and 4:

Solution
Tighten the red nut on the tap.
Renew the lye.
