 WARNING
Following another vehicle too
closely can lead to a collision.
As vehicle speeds increase,
stopping distance increases
progressively.
Always maintain a safe stop-
ping distance between you and
the vehicle in front of you.
NOTICE
Holding
the
stopped with throttle operation
on inclines can damage the
motorcycle's clutch.
Use the brakes when stopping
the motorcycle on inclines.
3. Park the motorcycle on a firm,
flat surface where if will not fall
over.
4. Apply the side stand or center
stand.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the
"OFF" position to stop the
engine.
6. Turn the ignition switch to the
"LOCK" position to lock the
steering.
7. Set the brake lock.
8. Remove the ignition key from
the switch.

NOTE: If an optional anti-theft
lock such as an U-shape lock,
brake disk lock or chain is used to
avoid theft, be sure to remove the
anti-theft lock before moving the
motorcycle.
 CAUTION
A hot muffler can cause severe
burns. The muffler will be hot
enough to cause burns for
some time after stopping the
engine.
Park the motorcycle where
pedestrians or children are not
likely to touch the muffler.
NOTICE
Direct
sunlight
through windshields and other
transparent parts can damage
the motorcycle.
Park the motorcycle in the
shade or cover it with a motor-
cycle cover.
