The ResMed VPAP IVST is a portable ventilator. VPAP machines are used by people who need breathing support during sleep. TYPES OF VENTILATION (MODES): Spontaneous mode: the machine will deliver breaths in response to your breathing efforts. Timed mode: the machine will deliver a set number of breaths every minute. -

Spilling water into the machine may cause mechanical failure. ALWAYS remove and empty the chamber before moving the machine. -

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE: Daily: If using a humidifier; disconnect the tubes, remove the chamber and empty the water; then remove the base of the chamber and dry both parts before reassembling them.
