    Pull the chain, tensioning the spring, couple the chain ring to the pin of the inner flange through which the sleeves pass (fig. 20). Use hand shears to cut off any excess chain links.     2.4.6 - ELECTRICAL CONNECTION the unit is supplied with a power cord with plug (Y-type connection). if the socket is in proximity to the unit, simply plug it in. Before connecting the unit, ensure that: • The power supply voltage and frequency values comply with those indicated on the data plate of the unit.

    3 - USE AND MAINTENANCE 3.1 - WARNINGS ABOUT EQUIPMENT USE The installation and electrical connection of the unit should be carried out by certified electrician. The installation instructions are contained in the appropriate section of this manual. No structural object (furniture, curtains, plants, leaves, blinds, etc.) should ever obstruct the normal airflow from either the internal or external grilles.

In order to transmit commands to the unit, point the front of the remote control toward the unit’s control panel. • The unit emits a beep when it receives a command. • The remote requires direct line of sight with the unit’s receiver with a maximum distance between them being 26 feet (8 m).     3.4 - OPERATING THE UNIT 3.4.1 - OPERATIONAL MODES - TURNING THE UNIT ON/OFF • Button T1 is used to switch the unit off (stand-by mode) or to switch the unit back on. an eProm contained in the unit’s control board system settings are memorized when the unit is turned off.

The heating setpoint is maintained for one hour. • During the next two hours the heating setpoint is gradually lowered while the fan is run low speed. • At this point the cooling setpoint no longer changes.     3.5 - SETTING THE TIME • The unit provides the end user with two operating programming options that can be set to start and stop at specific desired times. for example,you might want the unit to start shortly before returning home.
