NOTE: Indicates information that you should pay special attention to.

DANGER – To reduce the risk of electrocution

DO NOT place or store product where it can fall into or be pulled into a tub or sink.
2.
DO NOT place or immerse the unit into water or other liquids.
WARNINGS – To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury to the user or operator.

THIS DEVICE IS NOT INTENDED FOR LIFE SUPPORT.

The airflow for breathing generated by this device may be as much as 5°C (41°F) higher than the
room temperature. This device should not be used if the room temperature is warmer than 35°C
(95°F) to prevent the airflow temperature from exceeding 43° C (109° F) and causing irritation to
your airway.
3.
This machine should be used only with masks (and connectors) recommended by the
manufacturer, or by your physician or respiratory therapist.
4.
At low CPAP pressure, some exhaled gas may remain in the mask and be re-breathed.
Rebreathing of exhaled air for longer than several minutes can in some circumstances lead to
suffocation.
5.
If you are using a full face mask (a mask covering both your mouth and your nose), the mask must
be equipped with a safety (Anti-asphyxia) valve.
Do not place the heater base and the humidifying chamber higher than the patient's position,

otherwise, condensed water droplets may enter into the patient's airway.
7.
Equipment is not suitable for use in the presence of a flammable anesthetic mixture with air or with
nitrous oxide or oxygen.
8.
Close supervision is necessary when this product is used by, on, or near children or invalids.
Choking may result from a child swallowing a small part that has become detached from the
device or its accessories.
9.
Use this product only for its intended purpose as described in this manual. DO NOT use auxiliary
attachments that are not approved by the manufacturer.
10. Use only Apex Medical Corp. or confirmed by Apex Medical Corp. parts and accessories with the
device. Non-Apex Medical Corp. parts may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment, potential
allergic reactions or damage the device.
11. Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug. If it is not working properly, or has
been dropped, damaged, or immersed in water, return the product to a service center for
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
