For testing vacuum in a circuit use the vacuum
pump as a negative pressure instrument. For this
application the handle lever must not be pressed
several times as this will lead to false readings
and
malfunctions
nent/system.
For bleeding lines (bleeding hydraulic lines)
connect the vacuum pump with the reservoir jar.
To connect the vacuum pump and the suction
cover, use the shortest bleeding tube (4) and
make sure the marking "To Pump" points in direction to the
vacuum pump. Attach the longer bleeding tube (4)
on the bottom side of the suction cover.
Select the correct adaptors and connectors (8). Create a vacuum in the reservoir
jar (1) by pressing the lever several times (10 – 15 times). Open the vent vale a
little bit (¼ –- ½ turn is sufficient). Close the vent bleeder of the hydraulic line as
soon as approx. 40 ml are drained in the reservoir jar.
When draining liquids into the reservoir jar make sure it stands vertically so
liquids cannot be sucked into the vacuum pump.
Empty the reservoir jar when it is at least half-full.

Cleaning and Storing

Clean the vacuum pump set thoroughly after each use. Wipe the vacuum
pump with a dry cloth or a lightly moistened cloth. Do not immerse the
vacuum pump in liquids.
Clean the accessory with water and mild detergent. Do not use aggressive
chemicals as these might damage the plastic parts.
Do not store liquids in the reservoir jar. Dispose off extracted according to
local regulations.
Store all parts of the vacuum pump set in the case and keep the set out of
reach of children and persons in need of supervision.
