2-1-3. HDD Unit

The serial number of the unit and the menu setting data is
saved in the HDD unit.
Be sure to perform the following procedure before and
after replacing the HDD unit.
Before replacing
If possible, obtain the present setting file referring to
Section 1-10-1, or write down the setting from the Web
setting window.
After replacing
1. Write the serial number. (Refer to Section 1-12.)
2. Update the firmware to the latest version.
(Refer to Section 1-9.)
3. If possible, return the setting to the one that has been
obtained/written down before replacing the HDD unit.
Removal
1. Remove the upper chassis. (Refer to Section 2-1-1.)
2. Disconnect the flexible card board from the connector
on the HDD unit.
3. Remove the two screws, and pull out the HDD unit
slowly in the direction of the arrow.

Do not forcefully pull out the flexible card board when
it is caught in the HDD unit.
Pull the flexible card out by lifting it with tweezers as
shown in the figure.

If it still cannot be pulled out, pull out the HDD unit
after performing the following steps (1) to (3).
(1) Lift the DEC-158 board.
(Refer to steps 2 to 4 in Section 2-2-1.)
(2) Remove the connector bracket, and disconnect the
flexible card board from the connector CN1602 on
the MPU-137 board.
(3) Pull out the flexible card board in the direction of
the arrow.

4. Remove the four screws, and remove the HDD unit
from the HDD bracket 1.

Installation
5. Reattach the HDD unit in the reverse order of steps 2
to 4.
6. Reattach the upper chassis. (Refer to Section 2-1-1.)
