EBDK Reset Switch
Overview
The Emergency Bypass Detection Kit Reset Switch (EBDK-SWITCH) maintains
bypass/emergency mode generated by the connected emergency bypass
detection kit until normal power is restored and a user manually resets the
system.
Up to two switches may be wired in series per EBDK system. Typical installations
require a local switch near the dimming system and optionally a second switch in
the affected lighted area. Only one switch may be wired to a Master Phase Loss
Detector 2 (MPLD2) device.
Installation
The EBDK Reset Switch may be installed into an industry standard single-gang back box (provided by
others) or a single-gang surface-mount back box (sold separately and available by ETC).
The EBDK Reset Switch connects to the emergency bypass detection kit (EBDK) Ext. Switch Input
connection or to the MPLD2 Remote Restore Switch connection using two 1.5 mm
WAGO cage clamp terminal blocks (two are supplied) are used to connect the EBDK Reset Switch wiring
harness to the 1.5 mm

You must connect the remote switch (or switches) using the proper polarity. If the
switch connections are backwards, the EBDK Reset Switch will not operate properly.
ETC recommends pulling wires of differing color to mitigate complications. The switch
connections are labeled as follows:
• EBDK: Ext. Switch connection provides two input terminations, V out and Input.
• MPLD2: Remote Restore Switch connection provides two input terminations,
Out and RTN.
