ATTENTION! Risk of damage to the unit due to faulty rack balancing cabling.
Improper connection of the rack balancing cables will damage the Active Battery Optimizer, which must then be
replaced. Ensure that connection is carried out properly in accordance with section "5.5 Battery module wiring"
on page 17 et seq.

Incorrectly connecting the BAT COM communication cable will cause the battery to malfunction. Ensure that
connection is carried out properly in accordance with section "5.5 Battery module wiring" on page 17 et
seq.

Connect the rack balancing "OUT" connection of the first battery mod-
ule below the SMA HV APU to the rack balancing "IN" connection of
the next battery module below it using a rack balancing module con-
nector
. Repeat this procedure and connect all battery modules in
5 .3
the left half of the cabinet.
Use the 1.10-m long balancing connecting cable
lowest modules in the left and right halves of the cabinet.
Now connect the remaining battery modules on the right side starting
from the bottom. Follow the specifications in section "5.5 Battery mod-
ule wiring" on page 17 et seq.
Now connect the remaining battery modules on the right side starting
from the bottom. Follow the instructions in section "5.5 Battery module
wiring" on page 17 et seq.
Finally, using the 0.75-m

balancing "OUT" connector of the uppermost module on the right half
of the cabinet to the rack balancing "IN" connector of the uppermost
module on the left side.
